Ukrainians in Lithuania get simplified access to exchange of driving license

Since October 22, Ukrainians living in Lithuania have been able to exchange their driving license under a simplified procedure. This initiative allows to obtain a Lithuanian driving license without the need to pass theoretical and practical exams.

This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, emphasizing that the agreement on the simplified exchange of driving licenses between Ukraine and Lithuania has entered into force. This initiative resolves the issue of exchanging driver's licenses between the two countries.

To use this service, Ukrainians residing in Lithuania should contact the branches of the State Enterprise REGITRA in Lithuania. In turn, Ukrainian citizens should contact the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Ukraine.

It should also be noted that a similar procedure is also available to Lithuanian citizens residing in Ukraine and is serviced by the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

In addition to Lithuania, Ukraine has agreements on mutual recognition and exchange of driver's licenses with other countries, such as Italy, Turkey, Spain and the United Arab Emirates.

Representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine emphasized their desire to expand cooperation with foreign governments and develop a network of driver's license exchange agreements, expanding this list in the future.

This initiative will contribute to the convenience and simplification of the process of exchanging driver's licenses for Ukrainians living in Lithuania and is an important step in improving the service for drivers using this service.
