This optical illusion makes people eat less, without feeling a lack of food. This trick is especially useful for those who want to control their calorie intake.

    It was previously believed that certain plate colors help reduce appetite. For example, blue and purple are associated in the brain with something inedible, which reduces the desire to eat. However, new data shows that the key factor is the contrast between the food and the dishes, not the color itself.

    Experts advise choosing plates that differ in color from the dishes served. This will help naturally control portion sizes and prevent overeating. It is also recommended to give preference to small plates that create the illusion of a full plate, even if the portion is small.

    Thus, choosing dishes is a simple but effective way to influence eating habits. A conscious approach to serving helps to imperceptibly reduce the amount of food eaten and achieve the desired results in weight loss.
