Valeriy Zaluzhnyi on mobilization: Military Command of Ukraine forms needs on a regular basis

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi said that the military command of Ukraine systematically draws up its requests for ammunition, weapons and human resources. He provided this information during his participation in the United News telethon.

According to Zaluzhnyi, the military command did not make specific requests for the mobilization of 500,000 citizens through a "separate format" directly to the Cabinet of Ministers or the Verkhovna Rada. He emphasized that their requests concern ammunition, weapons and human resources, which are formed on a regular basis.

According to Zaluzhnyi's statement, the military command has managed to formulate a certain figure related to the needs for personnel for 2024. This includes the formation of new military units and compensation for possible losses.

Despite the harshness of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi's statement about mobilizing up to 500,000 people, Zaluzhnyi claims that the figure was formed based on the needs and strategies of the military command. Nevertheless, the details and sections of this figure remain within the scope of military secrecy.

It should be noted that the Cabinet of Ministers has submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a draft law amending legislation to improve mobilization and military registration. Nevertheless, it is not yet known how the demobilization process will be organized and how the mobilization will be financed, as the President said.
