A nighttime attack by Russian drones on October 25 resulted in two buildings of the Khmelnytsky nuclear power plant (NPP) being severely damaged. This tragedy also resulted in a power outage for 1,800 consumers in the towns of Netishyn and Slavuta.

According to the Ministry of Energy, the attack by Russian forces caused damage to windows in two buildings of the Khmelnytsky NPP. As a result, electricity supply was cut off for nearly 1,860 consumers in the cities of Slavuta and Netishyn, both in Khmelnytsky region.

According to representatives of the Ministry of Energy, repair work is scheduled to begin as soon as the situation at the facility is allowed to be repaired.

In addition to this incident, shelling in Donetsk region led to power outages in nine settlements. Some consumers in Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv regions are also without power and repair crews can only start working after receiving permission from the military.

In Kherson, a city that was previously affected by the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, 1,200 customers are still without power due to flooding.

In addition, 6,600 customers in Khmelnytsky region and 11,100 in Lviv region are also without power due to the weather. All of these bad weather and attacks have hit Ukraine's power grid, leaving thousands of citizens without power and heat during this difficult time.
