The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is arming the Armed Forces of Ukraine: Three Modifications of Leopard Tanks

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine continues to develop the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and strengthen its armored vehicle fleet. According to the Defense Ministry's press service, Ukrainian troops have now received three modifications of Leopard tanks. This initiative is an important step in strengthening the country's defense capabilities.

The new tanks, including Leopard 2A6, Leopard 2A5 and Leopard 1A5, were provided to Ukraine by Western partners. This decisive action helps to improve the effectiveness of the Armed Forces in combat operations. The introduction of these modern combat vehicles into service demonstrates Ukraine's national commitment to developing a high-tech and efficient military infrastructure.

The Ministry of Defense clarified that the new Leopard tanks are designed for reconnaissance, breaking through fortified enemy positions, destroying firing points, enemy vehicles and manpower. These vehicles are also ideal for quickly organizing defensive lines, making them indispensable for the Armed Forces in military operations.

It is important to note that the Lithuanian army, in partnership with representatives of the German defense industry, has taken on the task of repairing Leopard tanks that were damaged as a result of the fighting in Ukraine. This initiative demonstrates the solidarity and mutual support between the countries in the field of security.
