A large-scale evacuation is unfolding in the Kharkiv region

Mandatory evacuation of 53 settlements in the Kupiansk district of Kharkiv region may begin. The threat poses a significant risk to civilians, and the authorities are forced to act decisively. This information was confirmed on August 9 by Oleg Sinegubov, the head of the Kharkiv regional military-civilian administration.

At a staff meeting at the regional administration, the urgent situation related to the deteriorating operational situation was discussed. Enemy shelling, including air strikes, has threatened the lives and health of citizens living close to the frontline.

According to the announced warning, evacuation may become mandatory for more than 11 thousand people, including about 600 children. Special attention is paid to the protection of children in vulnerable situations.

The head of the regional military-civilian administration emphasized that the evacuation process has already been adopted, and everyone can leave the danger zones in favor of safe areas.

In the event of an evacuation, the government has provided assistance to evacuated citizens. This will include not only temporary housing, but also the provision of necessary resources and support at this important time.
