Ukrainian forces continue to advance

Ukrainian forces continue to advance on the southern directions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Even though the occupiers have concentrated their main efforts there, Ukrainian defenders are actively shelling the enemy with artillery.

Successful offensives continue at the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions. About 30 combat engagements were registered in the areas of Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Maryinka over the last day. Russian troops tried to force the Ukrainian Armed Forces out of their positions in the Disputed area of Donetsk region, but failed.

In the Bakhmut sector, enemy artillery and aircraft fired at Ukrainian military positions, but they successfully repelled the enemy's attacks. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also managed to hold back the Russian offensive in the area of Avdiivka.

Colonel Dmytro Khrapach, commander of the 27th Petro Kalnyshevsky Rocket Artillery Brigade, said: "Thanks to the highly professional, decisive and confident actions of our artillery, the Russian army suffered significant losses in equipment and manpower: command posts, columns and areas of enemy equipment concentration were destroyed."

In the Kupyansk sector, Ukrainian troops are holding steadfastly. They are actively repelling enemy attacks, inflicting significant losses on the enemy. Over the past day, Ukrainian aviation conducted one strike on the area of concentration of enemy troops, and missile and artillery units wounded two areas of concentration of enemy equipment and personnel, destroyed 2 artillery systems at firing positions and two electronic warfare stations.

According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the counteroffensive of Ukrainian troops has slowed down due to strong Russian defense. Some parts of the Ukrainian Armed Forces front cannot attack because they do not have the necessary weapons. However, Ukrainian defenders continue to conduct active defense and strike at enemy positions, causing serious losses.
