  • Ukrainian special forces are being trained in the UK for the operation to de-occupy Crimea

According to information received from the British newspaper Sunday Express, Ukrainian special forces are already being trained in the UK for the de-occupation of Crimea, scheduled for the period before Christmas - December 25.

More than 2,000 soldiers have arrived for special training at a camp near the town of Ockhampton in Devon, where the exercises are closed to other military personnel and members of the public.

The exercise is being coordinated by the naval battalion of the 42nd Special Forces Brigade of the Royal Marines of the British Navy.

According to media reports, it is planned that the Crimean operation will include air, land and sea strikes, and Ukrainian special forces will use equipment to undermine and paralyze Russian troops.

In addition, the defense lines will be expanded with the help of armored units. To support the operation, long-range missile strikes provided by the United Kingdom, the United States, and Germany will also be used.

British military officials emphasize that they will use NATO's flexible tactics to help Ukrainian troops "shape the battlefield before striking at the heart of the enemy."

However, the success of this operation will depend on the ability of Ukrainian forces to quickly adapt and overcome difficulties.

It is important to note that in early July, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine also stated that Ukrainian troops would enter Crimea "soon," although no specific timeframe was specified.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy also said that the Crimean reintegration is being prepared to be carried out quite quickly. It should be noted that earlier it was predicted that Crimea could return to Ukrainian control by the end of spring 2023, but this prediction has not yet materialized.
