In Moscow, a Ukrainian Mathematics teacher committed suicide in protest of Russia's war against Ukraine. After the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Olmezov tried to leave the country. He had already bought tickets and received an invitation to the Austrian University. However, the Federal Security Service detained him for 15 days and fabricated an administrative report against him. He left an explanation of his decision to commit suicide in his Telegram channel with poetry. In his last letter, he condemned the war and Russia's actions, and expressed a desire to "get to nowhere" rather than to live in this horror with such people.
