    Опубликовано: 2024-12-02 08:48:53

A skillfully prepared bath can become a real source of pleasure and relaxation, as well as an effective way to care for your skin. References to baths with aromas can be found even in ancient sources, where such procedures were attributed to majestic rulers such as Cleopatra. She believed that it was impossible to live a day without a good bath. Today, we use baths not only for relaxation, but also to lift our spirits, warm us up in the cold, or, conversely, refresh us in the heat.

    Bath benefits
Every time we immerse ourselves in warm water, we feel a pleasant feeling of lightness and weightlessness, as the water pressure relieves tension from our muscles. Baths help improve blood circulation, especially in the lower extremities, and help the body cleanse itself. Warm water opens the pores of the skin, activating its protective functions and stimulating the removal of toxins.

    Therapeutic properties of baths
Baths come in different temperatures, and each of them brings its own unique benefits. Warm and indifferent baths help reduce pain, relax muscles and calm the nervous system, improving the quality of sleep. Hot baths (over 39 degrees) stimulate sweating and metabolism, but they should not be taken for too long, so as not to harm the cardiovascular system.

    Cold and cool baths
Cold and cool baths have an invigorating and tonic effect. They activate the cardiovascular and nervous systems, and also speed up the metabolism. However, it is not recommended to spend more than 5 minutes in cold water - the optimal time is only 1-2 minutes. Cool baths, for example, at a temperature of up to 30 degrees, are ideal on hot summer days, giving a feeling of freshness and relaxation.

    Warm and hot baths
Warm baths, which can be enjoyed for up to 40 minutes, are excellent for relaxing and soothing. It is important to leave the exposed part of the body above the water, especially the heart area. To maintain tone, after a warm bath, it is recommended to wash the body with cold water. Hot baths, on the contrary, should not exceed 15 minutes, as they can overload the heart. They stimulate metabolism, but are contraindicated for people with blood pressure problems or cardiovascular diseases.

    Aromatic additives for baths
You can improve the effect of the bath by adding herbal infusions, mineral salts or essential oils. These components penetrate the skin into the lymphatic system, enhancing the effect of the procedure. When inhaling essential oils, inhalation also occurs, which increases the relaxing effect. For example, eucalyptus or pine oil perfectly tone and cleanse the skin, and lavender helps to cope with insomnia and relieves headaches.

    Recommendations for use
To get the most out of aromatic baths, it is best to take them 2-3 hours after eating. The water should be about 35-38 degrees. Before adding essential oil to the bath, it is important to mix it with a solvent, such as sea salt or milk. The optimal amount of essential oil for one bath is 8-15 drops. Properly selected aromatic additives will make your bath a real ritual of relaxation and self-care.
