The Ukrainian economy expects additional financial support from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to implement programs aimed at restoring the energy sector and retraining workers. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

According to Yulia Svyridenko, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, the government emphasizes the need to retrain Ukrainian workers for high-demand professions. Special emphasis is placed on women who actively enter the labor market, mastering traditionally "male" fields, such as security, cargo and passenger transportation, and agriculture.

"Retraining and employment of veterans remain one of the main tasks of the government in the labor market. We hope for the support of the EBRD in the implementation of these programs, both from the state and through partnership with Ukrainian business", Yulia Svyridenko emphasized.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is currently actively working on 220 projects in Ukraine, the total amount of which exceeds €5 billion. These projects are aimed at supporting infrastructural changes, sustainable development and increasing the country's economic potential.

The Ministry of Economy plans to implement a set of programs that will contribute to the stabilization and development of the economy, increase in employment and social integration of various population groups. This includes not only the support of business and energy projects, but also the active involvement of the public in processes aimed at achieving the general goals of sustainable development.
