Ways of cooperation between Ukraine and Poland: results of the talks in Warsaw

The participants of the governmental consultations between Ukraine and Poland, which took place in Warsaw, discussed a number of issues of mutual interest in cooperation between the two countries. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.

"Ukraine and Poland are strategic allies. We must clearly understand how important mutual support and the potential of our cooperation are. We discussed a number of issues of mutual interest in our cooperation. We paid a lot of attention to complex topics such as the situation at the border and trade in the agricultural sector. We understand how we will move forward," the head of the Ukrainian government emphasized.

According to Shmyhal, Ukraine expects Poland to provide concrete responses to the steps proposed by the Ukrainian side. "Most of them have already been implemented. We expect the European Commission to ban the transit and export of goods from Russia and Belarus, as well as to approve our agreement on joint control at checkpoints," Shmyhal explained.

It should be noted that trade and border issues are of great importance to both countries, as they directly affect economic relations and security in the region.

The Prime Minister also expressed hope that the results of today's consultations will bring positive changes, and that Ukraine and Poland will find ways to resolve problematic issues and further develop cooperation between the countries.

The establishment of such a positive dialog between the two countries demonstrates their readiness for joint action and the development of mutually beneficial relations in various fields. The results of the negotiations may have a significant impact on the further development of Ukraine and Poland as neighboring states.
