  • Energy solidarity: How Ukraine helped Poland stabilize its power grid

    Опубликовано: 2023-12-25 18:00:16

On the night of December 23, a situation arose with an excess of electricity in the Polish power grid, to which Ukraine responded to the request of its neighbors and provided the necessary assistance. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy.

Poland asked Ukraine to stabilize its power grid, and as a result, the Ukrainian side took on the task of accepting the surplus of Polish electricity. During the period from three to eight o'clock in the morning on December 23, Ukraine successfully accepted 1500 MWh of electricity, according to the official report.

It is important to note that no deficit was recorded in the Ukrainian power grid, and no blackout schedules were applied. This demonstrates the efficient operation of the Ukrainian energy system and the country's readiness to cooperate with its neighbors in ensuring energy stability in the region.

The assistance provided by Ukraine underscores the importance of energy solidarity between countries and their ability to cooperate in emergency situations. This example of cooperation helps to strengthen the region's energy infrastructure and emphasizes the importance of joint activities in the electricity sector.

The events of the night reflect the high level of interaction between Ukraine and Poland, as well as the willingness of the countries to work together to ensure the stability and security of electricity systems. The ability of countries to respond to challenges and events in real time is also important, which emphasizes their responsibility in the energy sector.
