In November 2023, Ukraine's electric vehicle market showed impressive growth, as 4.3 thousand new electric vehicles (BEVs) joined the fleet. The demand for electric vehicles has almost tripled compared to the same period last year.
According to Ukravtoprom, the leaders in electric vehicle registration are:
Lviv region - 603 units (89% used);
Kyiv - 561 units (67% used);
Dnipropetrovska oblast - 315 units (72% used);
Kyiv region - 312 units (68% used);
Vinnytsia region - 245 units (87% used).
"Ukravtoprom also notes that VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 is the most popular among new cars.
In the category of used cars imported from abroad, the following stand out:
VOLKSWAGEN e-Golf - in Lviv region;
TESLA Model 3 - in Kyiv and the region;
TESLA Model Y - in Dnipropetrovska oblast;
NISSAN Leaf - in Vinnytsia region.
About 5.4 thousand Ukrainians chose new electric cars in November, emphasizing the active development of the sector.
At the same time, despite the growing interest in electric vehicles, gasoline cars remain the leaders in the new passenger car market, accounting for 45% of total sales in November.
