  • The Ministry of Defense has launched a program to clear Ukrainian territories of Russian equipment: the fate of the remnants and their new purpose

    Опубликовано: 2023-11-14 11:00:14

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has launched a large-scale initiative to clear national territories of the remnants of destroyed Russian equipment. According to the defense ministry's press service, this process has already begun and is being carried out at 80 specially designated sites.

The collected and grouped remnants of equipment are subjected to a thorough inspection and verification. After that, experts from the Ministry of Defense, together with consultants, will decide whether the equipment can be used as donor spare parts for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

If unsuitable for military use, the equipment can become a museum piece or an installation for exhibitions, giving it a new context and meaning.

The equipment that has been severely damaged will be utilized and processed into scrap metal. This approach to the use of leftover equipment is part of a special order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

This initiative aims not only to effectively clean up the area of military equipment but also to make the most rational use of its remains to further support and develop the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
