The first F-16 aircraft from the Netherlands for Ukraine are expected in 2024, according to the head of the country's Ministry of Defense, Kees Ollongren.

According to her, the same situation with F-16s is expected for Norway and Denmark.

The minister clarified that the exact date of the transfer of F-16s will depend on the speed of training of Ukrainian pilots. Ollongren believes that the training process will take 6 to 8 months.

This is a significant step in improving Ukraine's defense capabilities, as F-16 aircraft are considered one of the most modern and versatile models in the world.

The decision of the Netherlands, Norway and Denmark to provide F-16s to Ukraine is part of the international support for Ukraine in the face of the deteriorating situation in the east of the country. These aircraft will become an important element of the Ukrainian aviation and will increase its combat readiness.

After the arrival of the F-16s, Ukraine will be able to strengthen its aerospace capabilities and ensure the protection of its airspace in a more effective way.
