Bisexuality: characteristics and views of scientists

Studies in the field of sexuality show that a significant portion of people have experienced attraction to members of their own sex at least once in their lives. This is especially true for women - according to sexologists, about 18% of women have had intimate relationships with another woman. However, the question of the nature of bisexuality remains open.

Some experts believe that a person's sexual orientation is determined by hormone levels, which can affect preferences and sexual attraction. Others argue that orientation is formed under the influence of the environment, culture and upbringing.

There is also an opinion that bisexuality is not a permanent state, but a transitional stage between heterosexuality and homosexuality. This point of view is based on observations of changes in preferences in some people throughout life.

To date, there is no exact method for determining a person's orientation. Sexual preferences remain a complex combination of biological, psychological and social factors that can change over time.

Interestingly, many women who have had same-sex experiences describe them as vivid and emotionally intense. According to research, about 70% of women who practice same-sex sex achieve orgasm, while this figure is lower among heterosexual women.

Bisexuality is more common than is commonly thought. Many famous people, including Hollywood stars, openly admit their attraction to both sexes, which confirms the diversity of sexual preferences in modern society.
