Over 58 thousand rehabilitation aids for Ukrainians: leading regions and the most needed products

In the first two months of 2025, more than 18.6 thousand Ukrainians received more than 58.5 thousand rehabilitation aids (AEDs) within the framework of the state prosthetics program. The total amount of funding for this initiative from the state budget exceeded 650 million hryvnias.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, citing data from the Fund for Social Protection of Persons with Disabilities.

The largest number of rehabilitation aids was received by residents of Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Lviv, Kharkiv and Ternopil regions. In particular, in Dnipropetrovsk region, 1480 people received 4889 rehabilitation aids, in Zhytomyr region - 1579 people received 4782 aids, in Lviv region - 1384 people received 4340 aids. In Kharkiv region, 1,244 people received 4,090 rehabilitation aids, and in Ternopil region, 1,134 people became owners of 4,058 aids.

Among the most common products provided to Ukrainians were mobility aids (including wheelchairs), special orthopedic shoes, breast prostheses, assistive furniture, canes, walkers, and prosthetic and orthopedic products.

To receive rehabilitation aids, citizens can submit an application. This can be done online or by contacting the nearest authorized institution in their community. The program continues to operate to provide Ukrainians with the necessary means to improve the quality of their lives.
