  • Zelensky approved new rules for home and remote work

    Опубликовано: 2025-05-01 16:00:01

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed Law No. 10164-1, which introduces clear rules for organizing home and remote work. The relevant document has already been published on the official website of the Verkhovna Rada.

The explanatory note to the law states that due to the war, many schools have switched to a mixed model of education - a combination of in-person and remote forms. This creates significant inconvenience for parents who must be present at the workplace during their children's lessons.

The new norms provide that employees with children under 14 years of age who are studying remotely may, with the consent of the employer, switch to home or remote work. This opportunity will help parents combine the performance of professional duties with monitoring the child's educational process.

The law also regulates business trips for remote workers: if this is provided for in the employment contract, home and remote workers will be able to travel to perform tasks in other settlements or abroad.

In addition to organizational aspects, the document increases the level of social protection of employees employed outside the office. In particular, guarantees regarding wages, job security, and labor protection conditions at the home workplace have been clarified.

The Verkhovna Rada adopted Law No. 10164-1 on March 28, 2025, amending the Labor Code of Ukraine. After the president signs the document, it will enter into force and will become the basis for the further development of flexible forms of employment.
