From November 1, 2024, "Ukrposhta" is updating the packaging standards for shipments in connection with the transition to automated sorting. As part of this change, the company announced a transition period that will last until November 11 to give customers the opportunity to adapt to the new requirements.
According to the press service of "Ukrposhta", the introduction of automated sorting lines will significantly speed up the delivery of shipments between Ukrainian cities, ensuring their receipt the very next day. This new system will not only increase the speed of service, but also improve its quality.
The company emphasized that the successful implementation of automated sorting requires appropriate packaging of shipments. For this purpose, "Ukrposhta" introduces two new concepts: manual and automated sorting. The updated packaging standards will apply to all shipments that will be subject to automatic processing.
According to the new requirements, all parcels that will be processed on automated lines must be packed in strong cardboard boxes or special plastic bags corresponding to the size of the shipments. "Ukrposhta" provides free packages for customers who send small shipments.
Customers also have the option to use their own packaging, but it must meet the requirements of reliability and ensure that the integrity of the shipments is preserved. It is important to note that "Ukrposhta" will not accept parcels in ordinary cardboard boxes that do not have a corrugated structure, as well as with convex surfaces or damage such as dents, tears or stains.
These changes are part of Ukrposhta's strategy to improve service and optimize shipment processing processes, which, in turn, should have a positive impact on customer satisfaction and the company's efficiency.
