Restriction of electricity consumption for business in Kyiv: steps to stabilize the energy system

In connection with the difficult situation in the energy system, temporary restrictions on the consumption of electricity for business and the industrial sector are introduced in Kyiv. On the initiative of the head of the KMVA, Serhii Popka, from 18:00 on May 10 to 07:00 on May 11, there will be a schedule of restrictions for enterprises and organizations.

These measures are necessary to ensure the stability of the city's energy system in an emergency situation. The authorities of the capital call on the business community and industrial enterprises to understand and support the introduction of restriction schedules, and the residents of Kyiv to participate in energy saving.

Detailed schedules of restrictions for businesses and organizations will be published in the near future. The local authorities hope for the constructive cooperation of all interested parties in order to ensure the stable operation of Kyiv's energy system.

Note that the restrictions will not apply to household consumers. However, residents of the capital are urged to be aware and reduce electricity consumption on their own, especially during evening peak hours.

Ukrenergo adds that capacity limitation schedules for industrial consumers will be in effect from 6:00 p.m. Friday to 7:00 a.m. Saturday, both in Kyiv and in other territories of Ukraine. When consumption increases, emergency shutdowns may be applied.
