  • Ukrainians living in the EU have the opportunity to provide DNA samples to find their relatives

    Опубликовано: 2023-11-21 13:00:00

Ukrainians living in the European Union now have the opportunity to provide DNA samples to help find their relatives who have gone missing due to special circumstances. This became possible thanks to an agreement between the Main Investigation Department of the National Police of Ukraine and the International Commission on Missing Persons.

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko, announced this initiative, emphasizing the start of joint work with Poland and Germany. Experts will collect biological material, which will be handed over to Ukrainian investigators for further search and identification of missing persons.

The schedule for the collection of biological material has already been published, and it includes visits to cities such as Krakow, Warsaw, Poznan, Berlin, Munich, Dresden, Frankfurt am Main and Dusseldorf. DNA samples will be collected over the next two weeks.

To participate in this initiative, individuals should register by calling +38(068)791 00 00. Operators will be available to answer any additional questions and provide the necessary information.

Minister Klymenko calls on all families searching for their relatives to join the initiative to collect DNA samples. He is confident that joint efforts will speed up this complex process of finding missing relatives.
