Infertility is a diagnosis that is familiar to 15% of married couples. For many it is a huge challenge, and not everyone is ready to go through it with dignity, striving to achieve their dream of a child. Many marriages break up because of the inability to cope with this difficult situation and believe in the best. However, modern medicine has made a huge step forward, and as far as infertility is concerned, in most cases doctors can still help realize the dream of a small miracle.

Today we will talk about the causes of such a painful situation.

    Causes of female infertility

Abortion: The results of abortion can be inability to conceive and failure to conceive syndrome.

Inflammatory diseases: Inflammatory processes in the ovaries and fallopian tubes, often caused by sexually transmitted infections such as chlamydia and gonococci, can lead to infertility. It is important to get timely treatment.

Hormonal disorders: Hormonal imbalances can cause problems with the menstrual cycle and egg maturity, as well as lead to premature menopause.

Fallopian tube obstruction: This problem can occur after an abortion or as a result of pelvic inflammatory processes.

Tumors and cysts: Tumors or cysts in the ovaries or uterus can also be a cause of infertility.

Birth defects: Some women are born with birth defects of the pelvic organs, such as missing ovaries or underdeveloped tubes.

Metabolic disorders: Metabolic disorders can affect the ability to get pregnant, and many people find that being obese can create additional difficulties.

Immunologic incompatibility: Sometimes women develop antibodies that can inactivate their partner's sperm.

Age: Women's ability to conceive greatly decreases after the age of 35. It is important to learn how to balance career and family life.

Overwork and stress: Constant overwork, chronic sleep deprivation and lack of rest can seriously affect women's health, including the ability to conceive.

Psychological factor: Unpreparedness of one of the partners for parenthood, fear of motherhood, desire to postpone pregnancy or financial difficulties can also be the cause of infertility.

    Types of female infertility

There are several types of infertility depending on the cause:

Hormonal infertility: It is connected with disorders in the hormonal balance.

Tubal infertility: Caused by obstruction or damage to the fallopian tubes.

Uterine infertility: Associated with abnormalities of the uterus.

Primary infertility: A woman has never been pregnant and cannot get pregnant.

Secondary infertility: A woman has previously had pregnancies, but now can not conceive.
