  • Hand cuticle care in the winter season

    Опубликовано: 2023-10-21 15:28:59

Snowy, windy and frosty winter affects not only the skin of the face, but also our hands, which are forced to constantly "contact" with negative environmental factors. However, not only dry skin, but also unattended cuticle on the nails can spoil the appearance of hands. How to avoid this unpleasant situation - read our tips.

    Untrimmed manicure and softening agents

In winter, it is more advisable to give preference to an uncut manicure. If you regularly fight with cuticle in winter, the body will turn on its defense, making it grow even faster. By refusing to do a trim manicure and giving preference to softening agents for the cuticle, you can achieve a noticeable thinning of the cuticle. After the first procedure of European uncut manicure should be applied to the cuticle fragrant oil, and then do not forget to do it every day.

    Warm baths for hands

The most effective in the care of cuticles in the winter period will be warm baths with the addition of a few drops of olive oil. The temperature of water in the bath should be no more than 37°C to avoid discomfort and excessive overheating of nail plates and cuticles. During the procedure, the cuticle will absorb the beneficial substances of the oil, which will help it to resist the effects of wind and cold.

Do not forget about the cream

The next mandatory moment is the use of moisturizing cream for the cuticle. However, for this purpose, the usual hand cream is not suitable, because it does not contain those components that are necessary for full-fledged moisturizing of the cuticle. An excellent alternative to the cream can be almond oil, it should be applied no more than twice a week. After the procedure, you should push back the cuticle with a special orange stick.

    Quickly and qualitatively remove cuticle

Currently, there are simpler ways to soften the cuticle, for example, the use of removers. The composition of these cosmetics contains acid or alkali, as a result of which the softening of the cuticle occurs in a matter of seconds. Remember that prolonged contact with alkali can give negative results, so after using a remuver it is recommended to put your fingers in water.

    Alternative remedies with fruit acids

And yet, in order not to cause irreparable damage to the cuticle, it is more advisable to choose removers, the basis of which are fruit acids. As a rule, such products are available in the form of creams, after the use of which you need to push back the cuticle with a special stick and apply oil with an antiseptic effect.
