Joint production of air defense systems between Ukraine and the United States: first results by the end of the year

Oleksandr Kamyshyn, Head of the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine, announced the start of joint production of air defense systems between Ukraine and the United States, with the first results expected by the end of 2023. This important initiative was discussed during the visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the United States.

Kamyshin emphasized that during the visit, agreements were reached on the joint production of air defense systems in Ukraine, and work on this project has already begun. The first concrete results of this cooperation are expected in the near future.

During the interview, Kamyshin did not disclose specific details about the production of other types of equipment or weapons. According to NV, which cites sources in Ukrainian defense companies, joint production of shells is also planned, but the industrial facilities will be located in another country neighboring Ukraine.

Another similar project involves the creation of spare parts for military helicopters. The spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force, Yuriy Ihnat, did not disclose details about specific types of air defense, but noted that developments such as the creation of an anti-aircraft missile system could become the basis for joint production with the United States.

Cooperation between Ukraine and the United States in the production of air defense systems is an important step to enhance Ukraine's defense capabilities and support its partnership with global forces.
