    Опубликовано: 2023-09-26 16:00:40

Japanese automaker Nissan Motor has announced a strategic step in the development of its automotive industry in Europe. According to the latest news, all new car models that the company will produce for the European market will be fully electric. In addition, it is planned that by 2030 Nissan will sell only electric vehicles in Europe.

Nissan CEO Makoto Uchida emphasized that this strategy is in the interests of business, customers and contributes to the preservation of the environment. Under this strategy, the company will develop and introduce more electric models.

One of the two new electric vehicle models has already been confirmed for the European market and will be produced at the Sunderland plant in the north of England. This will help create jobs and support the development of local industry.

Leading automaker Nissan has also revised its electric vehicle production targets, announcing a plan to launch 19 new electric vehicle models by 2030. The company also announced that by fiscal year 2026 (ending March 31, 2027), 98% of sales in Europe will be electrified, including both all-electric vehicles and hybrids.

This strategic course of Nissan is in line with the general trend in the industry, where car manufacturers around the world are actively developing and releasing new electric models. Companies such as Ford, Stellantis, and Volvo also plan to switch to all-electric vehicles in Europe by 2030, demonstrating their commitment to environmental protection and emissions reduction.
