Zelensky: Victory in the war with Russia will lead to the restoration of the territorial integrity of not only Ukraine, but also Georgia and Moldova

In his evening video address, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that victory in the war with Russia would lead to the restoration of the territorial integrity of not only Ukraine, but also Georgia and Moldova. According to him, every year on August 7, the world remembers Russia's aggression against Georgia, and this occupation has been going on for 15 years, leaving a wound on the body of the Georgian state.

The President stated that if the world had been more decisive in 2008, when Russia invaded Georgia, many things could have been different. According to him, Russia should have realized that the aggressor suffers the most for the aggression, and it should be clear now.

The Head of State called for "freedom to win, Georgia to win, Ukraine to win" in Georgian. He expressed hope that Ukraine's victory in this war would stop the expansion of Russia's aggressive appetites and save other nations going through similar trials, such as Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova.

Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukrainians stand in solidarity with the people of Georgia and expressed his gratitude to all Georgian citizens who stand with Ukrainians in defending freedom. He identified this solidarity as an important element in the struggle for peace and stability in the region.

We remind that during his visit to Moldova in June, the President also stated that the format of the Transnistrian conflict resolution would be determined after Ukraine's victory in the war against Russia. He emphasized that the end of Russia's aggression in the region would solve many problems and security issues.

The Ukrainian president called for unity and a strong attitude to aggression to ensure victory and restore peace and stability in the region. He emphasized the importance of diplomatic and international efforts to ensure the end of the Russian occupation and the restoration of the sovereignty of Georgia and other occupied territories.
