  • Fake about ZNPP attack: intelligence reveals true motives of Russia

    Опубликовано: 2023-07-06 09:20:03

The Russian occupiers decided to spread information online about the Armed Forces of Ukraine's plans to attack the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant on the night of July 5. However, Ukrainian intelligence reports that this is just another enemy provocation.

This was reported by the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Andriy Yusov, in a commentary for the TV channel "24".

Yusov noted that the escalation of the situation around Zaporizhzhia NPP is a primitive information provocation, and the information about Ukraine's plans to attack the plant with drones has no basis in fact.

Yusov emphasized that the Russians have several reasons for spreading such fakes. The first reason is that this is their response to the extensive information campaign that Ukraine is conducting in the world to expose the crimes of the Russian occupiers at the Zaporizhzhia NPP and other critical infrastructure facilities.

The second reason, according to Yusov, is that such information injections can be used as preparation and cover for real terrorist actions. It is also worth considering the possibility of manipulation to cause panic and chaos.

"However, we do not observe any significant changes at the station at the moment. Nevertheless, some objects at the plant are mined, and there is a risk that the terrorist state may increase tension and complete preparations for a terrorist attack. But now we are talking about increasing the degree of nuclear blackmail, conducting an information provocation in order to sow panic in Ukrainian society and demoralize Ukrainian defenders," Yusov emphasized.

Meanwhile, the Atesh guerrilla movement reports that mobile radiation laboratories received by the occupiers from Voronezh region have been spotted in Enerhodar and Mariupol.

The guerrillas suggest that the Russians may have taken something from the ZNPP through the seaport.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia had mined the occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP to be able to provoke an explosion with a radiation release in case of transfer of the plant.
