The first «pilot» mobile shelter made of high-quality concrete and designed to protect against blast waves and shrapnel damage was installed in the capital of Ukraine. This was reported by representatives of the Kyiv City Military Administration.
Each module can accommodate up to 20 people. The shelter is assembled like a construction set, in particular, the number of sections may vary depending on the need.
It is noted that such structures can be quickly installed, most importantly, to have a solid foundation. Inside, the shelters are equipped with benches for sitting, fire extinguishing equipment, water, and first aid kits.
The modular shelters are planned to be installed in places where there are no existing shelters or where there is a considerable distance to civilian protective structures.
"Experience has shown that during missile threats, the time it takes for a person to get to a safe place is very important. After a detailed study of all the structures of this type, a decision will be made on where exactly and what modification of the structure should be installed in Kyiv," added Serhiy Popko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration.
The installation of such mobile shelters is an important step in improving the safety of the capital's residents and protecting them from potential dangers.
