  • Chief Directorate of Intelligence: Putin might try to impose the «Korean» scenario for Ukraine

Chief Directorate of Intelligence: Putin might try to impose the «Korean» scenario for Ukraine.

After the failures near Kyiv and inability to overthrow the central government, Putin has been changing the main operational directions - they are the south and the east now. There is reason to believe he is considering the ‘Korean’ scenario for Ukraine, Chief Directorate of Intelligence reports.

    What does it mean?

Putin might try to impose a delimitation line between non-occupied and occupied regions. ‘It’s actually an attempt to create North and South Koreas in Ukraine. Since he is definitely unable to swallow the whole country’, Kyrylo Budanov, the Head of the Chief Directorate of Intelligence says.
Budanov is sure that establishment of a land corridor to Crimea is still a current issue for the Russian Federation. But there is a problem - our unconquerable Mariupol.
'Occupiers will make an attempt to place the occupied territories together in a single quasi-State structure. But the resistance of our citizens on the occupied territories, counterattacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and progressive liberation complicate the realisation of the enemy’s plans’, the Head of the CDI states.
