The culinary traditions of the East always surprise with their rich taste and unusual combination of ingredients. Today we will tell you how to cook original cutlets based on Chinese cuisine - juicy, aromatic and very easy to make. This dish is easy to cook at home, and the result will please even the most sophisticated gourmet.
First, you need to prepare the base - minced pork, about 400 grams. It should be of medium fat content so that the cutlets are not dry. Add finely chopped onions to it - one or two onions, depending on their size. It is the onion that gives the mince softness and light sweetness, balancing the spiciness of the spices.
Season the mince with ground ginger - one teaspoon, as well as a pinch of cinnamon and coriander. These spices give the cutlets a characteristic oriental aroma. Be sure to add a tablespoon of soy sauce - it will replace salt and add flavor. Also add a spoonful of water, table wine, starch and flour to the mixture. This will make the mince more flexible and help the cutlets keep their shape when fried.
The next step is vegetables. Finely chop a tablespoon of spinach, cabbage and celery. They will add freshness to the dish and a little crunch. Add salt and ground pepper to taste. Mix everything thoroughly - with your hands or a spoon, until the mass becomes homogeneous. Then form small balls from the mince.
Fry the cutlets over medium heat until golden brown. You can fry in vegetable oil, best in a frying pan with a non-stick coating. When the cutlets are browned on all sides, reduce the heat and bring to readiness under the lid so that they are fried inside, but remain juicy.
Serving also plays a role: put fresh green salad leaves on a wide plate, and hot cutlets on top. You can also serve soy sauce in a small cup for dipping. This is a great appetizer for dinner, a snack, or even a holiday table - simple, tasty, and orientally aromatic.
