In 2025, the level of remuneration for non-technical IT professionals continues to change under the influence of market trends. The study conducted by DOU with the participation of 1,530 specialists, of which 1,465 work in Ukraine, shows the current situation in the areas of HR, marketing, recruiting, sales, customer support and technical writing. Another 65 respondents are abroad, but plan to return.
Among non-technical specialists, the highest median salary in 2025 is received by lawyers - $ 2,415 after taxes. In contrast, the lowest salaries are recorded in technical support ($ 1,090) and Customer Support ($ 1,000). Office managers and administrative staff earn even less - about $ 900 per month.
Salaries for marketers, PR specialists, sales specialists, and technical writers are all showing growth. For example, the median income for marketers is $1,836, technical writers are $2,000, and finance and audit specialists are $1,750. Customer Success specialists earn an average of $1,650, while branding, communications, sales, and business development experts earn $1,500. HR specialists earn a median salary of $2,000, while Learning & Development specialists earn $1,500, and Recruiters earn $1,300.
Some professions are showing negative dynamics. For example, Talent Acquisition specialists now earn $400 less than before, with a median salary of $1,600. Talent Researchers’ salaries fell by $150 to $750. HR Generalists lost $100, and People Partners earned $125. At the same time, HR Business Partners were able to recover their salaries after a drop in 2024 and now earn $425 more.
Managers traditionally have higher salaries. C-level representatives, VPs and Directors earn an average of $4,000, and in the marketing sector this figure is even higher – $4,350. Head-level specialists receive $3,000, in HR – $3,250, in marketing – $2,750, and in sales and business development – $2,700. Experienced Senior-level specialists in marketing can expect $2,700, in sales – $2,175, in HR – $2,000, and in recruiting – $1,875.
The level of English proficiency significantly affects the size of the salary. Specialists with the Upper-Intermediate or Advanced level earn more, especially in marketing, sales, branding, communications, HR and recruiting. The type of company is also important: product companies pay more than service companies, especially in the areas of marketing, sales and recruiting. The exception is financial specialists, who in service companies receive higher salaries due to a higher level of experience.
Non-technical specialists who went abroad earn more than those who remained in Ukraine. This is explained both by the higher share of experienced specialists among migrants and the general difference in wages. Most often, specialists moved to Poland (38%) and Spain (13%). Overall, the trends for 2025 indicate an increase in salaries in most areas, but some areas, especially in HR, are experiencing a decline.
