From January 1, 2025, the tariff for electricity transmission services, which is set by the National Commission for State Regulation in the Spheres of Energy and Utilities (NKREKP), will increase by 29.8% and will amount to 686.23 UAH/MWh. This decision was made at a meeting on November 13 of this year.
The main component of the electricity transmission tariff is the costs of covering special obligations (PSO) that ensure the development of "green" energy. In 2025, these costs are estimated at 32.087 billion UAH due to the gradual increase in private solar and wind power plants.
At the same time, the tariff for dispatching management will be reduced by 5.4% and will amount to 98.97 UAH/MWh. This will reduce the cost of dispatching services for consumers.
The projected volume of electricity transmission for 2025 is 98.652 million MWh. Despite the increase in the transmission tariff, NPC Ukrenergo reports that the share of this tariff in the total cost of electricity for non-household consumers will not exceed 10%.
In response to the church's decision, representatives of the business community expressed their objections. In particular, the Ukrainian Association of Producers of Ferroalloys and Other Electrometallurgical Products (UkrFa) stated in an open letter to the authorities that this increase will significantly increase the costs of ferroalloy producers.
The Union of Building Materials Producers warned that this increase will lead to an increase in prices for building materials, since electricity is an important component in their production.
