Business received 88.4 billion hryvnias under the 5-7-9% program in 2024

In the first months of 2024, Ukrainian business received more than 88.4 billion hryvnias in the form of preferential loans under the "Affordable Loans 5-7-9%" program. A total of 23,556 loans were issued, which indicates the active participation of enterprises in this financial instrument, which provides access to favorable financing for the development of various sectors of the economy.

Since the launch of the program in February 2020, Ukrainian business has already received 102.5 thousand loans for a total amount of 355.3 billion hryvnias. This has become an important step in supporting entrepreneurs, especially in conditions of economic instability and war. Thanks to preferential terms, loans are provided at rates from 5 to 9%, which significantly reduces the financial burden on business.

Last week, Ukrainian entrepreneurs received another 633 loans worth 2.4 billion hryvnias, which confirms the stable demand for preferential financial instruments. Entrepreneurs are actively using these loans to develop their own businesses, in particular for the needs of the processing industry, replenishment of working capital, as well as for investments in new projects.

According to the Ministry of Economy, the largest amounts of loans under the program were received by enterprises for the following needs:

- 21.8 billion hryvnias — for processing;
- 21.6 billion hryvnias — for replenishment of working capital;
- 20.6 billion hryvnias — for lending in high military risk zones;
- 18.6 billion hryvnias — for investment loans.

The largest recipients of preferential loans are enterprises in agriculture, processing industry, as well as wholesale and retail trade. This confirms the importance of the program for supporting key sectors of the economy that are of strategic importance for the country.

Among the regions with the largest number of loan agreements, Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia and Poltava regions, as well as the city of Kyiv, are noted. These regions demonstrate active development of entrepreneurship and attraction of financial resources for modernization and expansion of businesses.

Today, 46 banks participate in the program, which allows enterprises to receive loans from a wide range of financial institutions, increasing competition and accessibility of financing. This contributes not only to economic growth, but also to the improvement of the business climate in Ukraine, which is an important factor in attracting investments to the country.
