Kyiv region leads Ukraine in the number of solar power plants: over 5 thousand plants and 125 MW of capacity

Kyiv region is among the top three Ukrainian regions in terms of the number of installed solar power plants. Currently, more than 5 thousand hybrid solar power plants are operating in Kyiv region, with a total capacity exceeding 125 MW. These data were reported by the head of the Kyiv regional military administration, Ruslan Kravchenko, on his Facebook page.

According to Kravchenko, despite constant Russian attacks on energy facilities, Kyiv region is actively working on decentralizing energy generation. This allows not only to ensure stable energy supply for residents of the region, but also to support the work of local businesses.

The installation of hybrid solar power plants is an important step in the development of alternative energy in the Kyiv region. These plants help reduce dependence on centralized energy sources, and also improve energy security in the face of constant attacks on infrastructure.

It is expected that the number of solar panel facilities in the Kyiv region will gradually increase, which will allow for further diversification of energy sources. This will not only contribute to improving the energy situation in the region, but will also help reduce energy supply costs.
