  • The stoppage of e-booking could lead to a crisis in the agricultural and retail sectors

    Опубликовано: 2024-10-23 10:00:53

Representatives of the Ukrainian Grain Association (UZA) and the Retailers Association of Ukraine expressed serious concern over the termination of the electronic employee booking procedure, which is critical for their industries. This issue has become a topic of discussion among key market players, as stopping this procedure could lead to serious disruptions in the functioning of the agricultural sector and retail.

In particular, the representatives of the agricultural industry emphasize that the impossibility of timely extension of employee reservations creates significant difficulties for planning and conducting agricultural work. Many enterprises, which were defined as critically important for the economy, lost this status in August-September. Restoring such a status is currently impossible, which jeopardizes the stability of their work.

The Ukrainian Grain Association emphasizes that without key workers, enterprises in the agricultural sector will not be able to function at full strength. This applies not only to seasonal work in the fields, but also to significant revenues to state and local budgets. In wartime, such funds are critically important for supporting Ukraine's economy.

In addition, industry associations emphasize that the mobilization of workers who are important for the work of enterprises can lead to a complete shutdown of agricultural and retail companies. This poses a threat not only to their activities, but also to the food security of the country and the world, since Ukraine is a key player in the world food market.

In this regard, the Ukrainian Grain Association appealed to the government to automatically extend the status of critical enterprises and ensure the extension of reservations for the audit period of reserved employees. In particular, the appeal is addressed to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, First Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyridenko and Minister of Agrarian Policy Vitaly Koval.

This issue is of strategic importance, since the development of the agricultural sector and strengthening of its role as a guarantor of national and global food security is one of the main goals of the Recovery Plan of Ukraine. Therefore, a timely solution to the problem of electronic booking of employees is an important step to ensure the smooth operation of enterprises and the stability of the economy.
