The volume of mortgages issued under the eHouse program continues to grow, surpassing the UAH 10.2 billion mark, with 161 families receiving loans last week alone. In total, since the launch of the initiative, more than 6,757 families have taken advantage of the opportunity to obtain an affordable mortgage.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
In particular, it is noted that among the recipients of loans on the terms of a mass mortgage, which is 7%, 1200 families have already received loans worth UAH 2 billion.
Nadiia Bihun, Deputy Minister of Economy, emphasized that starting from January 26, the program will be expanded to include loans for the purchase of houses, duplexes and townhouses.
Last week, Ukrainians completed 161 mortgage transactions worth UAH 272 million. Among the recipients were 83 military and security personnel, 7 teachers, 20 doctors and 6 scientists. In addition, 40 people without their own housing and 4 veterans received mortgages at 7%.
Most of the loans were taken to purchase housing on the secondary market (127) and from developers (30). Another 4 loans were granted to purchase apartments in buildings under construction.
Residents of Kyiv region (38), Kyiv city (32), Odesa region (15), Vinnytsia region (13), and Volyn region (11) were the leaders in terms of the number of mortgages received.
