The pH of a woman's vagina is only 3.3, which is more acidic than the skin (with a pH of 5.5). For intimate hygiene, it is recommended to use specialized products designed for this purpose as they help to gently cleanse, deodorize and provide the right PH level.

    It is recommended that you take an intimate shower at least twice a day, preferably after every visit to the restroom. For those times when this is not possible, it is helpful to have wipes with antiseptic lotion, alcohol-free and with multiple moisturizing ingredients.

    Rule 3: Changing pads and tampons.

    Daily pads should be changed every four hours to avoid bacterial growth. The same rule applies to women's pads on critical days. It is important to take special care of intimate hygiene during pregnancy, as 80% of complications are due to vaginal infections caused by poor hygiene.

    Rule 4: Choosing the right feminine pads.

    You should consider the number of "droplets" on the package, which denotes the pad's ability to absorb moisture. Night pads are wider and designed for overnight protection. Intimate hygiene is especially important during pregnancy, when changes in hormones can make the intimate environment less acidic.

    Rule 5: Careful use of tampons.

    Tampons should only be used at the beginning of your menstrual cycle and should be changed every two hours. Prolonged use of tampons can lead to vaginal dryness, mucosal irritation and even dangerous infections. In case of inflammatory diseases of the vagina and cervix, it is better not to use tampons.

    Rule 6: Creams for intimate hygiene.

    Intimate hygiene creams can be useful when swimming in the pool or open water, and as a lubricant when having sex. They contain antiseptic additives that provide additional protection.

    So, knowing and following the rules of intimate hygiene will help every woman maintain her health and feel comfortable. By following these recommendations, women can prevent many unpleasant problems and diseases.
