Chinese oil and gas giants have become international sponsors of war

The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NAPC) has included three of China's largest oil and gas companies in the list of international sponsors of war. These are China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC Group), China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec Group) and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC).

According to the NACP, these companies continue joint projects with Russia and pay significant taxes that finance Russia's strategic industries.

CNOOC Group is the third largest national oil company in China and the largest offshore oil and gas producer in China. It participates in the Arctic LNG-2 project located in the Arctic region of Russia, importing gas to China.

Sinopec Group, the second largest Chinese state-owned company, specializes in hydrocarbon production and oil refining. It also pays taxes to the Russian budget for its participation in joint projects.

China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) is the largest Chinese oil and gas corporation and one of the world's largest energy companies. This company has significant integration with Russian companies in the field of oil and gas production and pays large amounts of taxes to the Russian budget.

The decision of these Chinese companies to continue to cooperate with Russia and finance its economy is outrageous in the international community, as it may contribute to the support of the Russian military machine and aggression in Ukraine.
