Zelenskyy proposes to create a single body for business inspections: state and entrepreneurs under one flag

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has proposed the creation of a single body responsible for conducting business inspections. He believes that the state and entrepreneurs should move together in this direction.

He voiced this initiative during an interview broadcast during a national telethon on August 27.

"Businesses should not pay bribes. This is a fact. No one will harm business, we will definitely protect it," the president said.

Zelenskyy also said that a platform for meetings with business representatives had been created in the President's Office.

"My economic advisors regularly meet with business representatives once or twice a week and listen to their questions," the head of state noted, but called this approach "unsystematic."

Zelenskyy noted that business representatives express dissatisfaction with inspections and claim that they have become more active due to the state's return to this process.

"But this is a matter of balance, especially for me as president. This balance is important, especially during the war. What is this balance? We are in touch with the International Monetary Fund, the European Commission... If we do not return the tax system that existed before the war and do not restore inspections, we will have a question when discussing our future membership in the EU," the president emphasized.

According to Zelenskyy, he has already made proposals to amend the legislation so that businesses have only one authorized agency to carry out inspections.

"I will find a balance between European legislation and their needs for inspections, and you have to build the organization so that not everyone visits all the offices... Our business must propose what kind of body it will be and who will be its members," the President summarized.
