    Опубликовано: 2023-08-07 09:30:56

Poland has taken measures to strengthen its defense capabilities on the border with Belarus and has decided to deploy combat helicopters to patrol the Podlaskie Voivodeship. This region borders Belarus and has become a priority area for security. According to Polish General Marek Sokolowski, this decision was made in accordance with the order of Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak to immediately strengthen measures towards Belarus.

The political and military leader underlined that these combat helicopters will be deployed at two strategic points in order to immediately respond to possible threats and disruptive events on the border. He stressed that these helicopters are combat capable and have highly qualified pilots who have experience in the use of on-board weapons and missiles. The general stressed that if necessary, the pilots will not hesitate to use weapons.

The defense minister emphasized the high professionalism of the military personnel who will take responsibility for patrolling and defending the border. General Sokolowski pointed out that some of the pilots have extensive combat experience, having fought in the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq, among others.

The trigger for Poland's reaction was that Belarusian helicopters recently violated Polish border airspace. This incident was one of the reasons for the growing concern and the decision to increase military presence on the border.

In response to this incident, Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak decided to deploy additional military units on the border with Belarus. Combat helicopters play an important role in this context, as they enable a quick response to possible threats.

In addition to military measures, Poland is also taking diplomatic steps to clarify the incident with the Belarusian helicopters. The Belarusian chargé d'affaires was invited to the Polish Foreign Ministry to discuss and clarify the situation.

Strengthening the defense on the border with Belarus is an important step in ensuring Poland's national security. The deployment of combat helicopters and military units on the border will help effectively respond to possible threats and ensure stability in the region.
