Ukrainian consulates in Poland start registering marriages and divorces

Four consular offices of Ukraine in Poland have received additional powers to register civil status acts. This is reported by the official website of the Consulate General of Ukraine in Wroclaw.

The new services were launched in the consulates located in Warsaw, Wroclaw, Gdansk and Lublin.

Ukrainian citizens residing in Poland can now apply to the relevant consular offices for marriage registration, divorce, newborn documents, and death certificates.

In addition, Ukrainians can apply through consulates for duplicate documents that have been lost or left in Ukraine. It will also be possible to make changes to civil status records, renew and cancel them.

These new services will be provided in a test mode for now. To receive one of them, citizens must first sign up for an electronic queue.

This was done in accordance with the agreement between Ukraine and Poland aimed at improving business relations and providing convenient access to consular services for Ukrainian citizens in Poland. The initiative will help to simplify procedures for Ukrainians in need of administrative services in these areas and make them more accessible and efficient. Additionally, it will strengthen cooperation and promote the rights of citizens in the two countries.
