In Kyiv, drone debris damaged the building of the National Bank of Ukraine

An extraordinary event occurred in the Pechersk district of the capital: debris from an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) caused a fire on the roof of one of the buildings of the National Bank of Ukraine. The incident occurred as a result of another wave of attacks on Kyiv.

According to the press service of the National Bank, none of the employees or visitors of the institution were injured. However, the windows on the upper floors of the building were damaged. Despite the incident, all operating systems and services of the National Bank remain in working order, and financial transactions are being carried out without changes.

Thanks to the prompt work of employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES), the fire was quickly localized and extinguished. Rescuers worked in conditions of increased danger, as attacks using drones are becoming more frequent.

The press service of the National Bank also noted that even in such difficult conditions, the management and staff of the institution adhere to the approved protocols for actions during emergencies. This allows ensuring the stability of the country's financial system.

This case once again highlighted the risks that Ukraine's critical infrastructure faces during military operations. The management of the National Bank called for strengthening security measures to ensure the protection of strategically important facilities.

We will remind you that Kyiv has recently been subjected to intensive attacks using drones. In the last month alone, several similar incidents have occurred in the capital, leading to the destruction of buildings, but, fortunately, without significant casualties among the population.
