In 2025, the Kyiv City Administration will implement a program of partial compensation for the costs of re-equipping cars for Kyiv defenders of Ukraine with disabilities. This was reported by the Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration for the Exercise of Local Government Powers, Marina Honda, the official portal of the capital notes.
This initiative became part of the changes to the city targe program "Support for Kyiv Defenders of Ukraine for 2023–2025". The main goal of the innovation is to improve the living conditions of people with disabilities, ensuring their mobility and promoting independence in everyday life.
The city authorities plan to allocate 10 million hryvnias for the implementation of this program in 2025. These funds will be enough to compensate for the costs of 100 people with disabilities of groups I and II, who are war veterans and residents of the capital.
In addition, Marina Honda reminded that Kyiv is already providing financial assistance for the purchase of cars for this category of citizens. During the current year, the city budget allocated almost 500 thousand hryvnias to compensate for the relevant costs.
The changes to the program emphasize the importance of social support for veterans who were injured while defending Ukraine. Ensuring mobility is a key aspect of integration and improving the quality of life of such citizens.
The program of partial compensation for the costs of re-equipment of cars has become another step in the systemic support of veterans, demonstrating Kyiv's readiness to take care of those who defended the state.
