Sales of hybrid cars in Ukraine increased by 76%: which models are in demand

In August 2024, more than 3,100 hybrid cars, both HEV and PHEV, were added to the Ukrainian car fleet, which is a significant increase of 76% compared to last year. Such data were published in the latest report of "Ukravtoprom".

According to the information, the share of new cars among sold hybrids was 58%, which is slightly less than 63% last year. This indicates the growing popularity of used hybrid cars.

Among the new hybrid cars that were sold in August, the Toyota RAV-4 was the most popular, with sales of 414 units. Second place in the segment of new hybrids was taken by Toyota Yaris Cross, which sold 134 units. The third most popular model was the Nissan X-Trail, with 133 units sold.

When it comes to imported used hybrid cars, the lead belongs to the Ford Fusion US, with 92 registrations. The second place in this segment was taken by the Toyota RAV-4, registered in the number of 78 units, and the top three was closed by the KIA Niro with 73 units.

In general, the market of hybrid cars in Ukraine shows a noticeable growth, reflecting the growing interest of Ukrainians in ecological and economical transport solutions. The choice of models indicates the preference of popular and proven brands that meet the needs of consumers.
