  • In Kyiv, power outage schedules will be moved forward by one hour

    Опубликовано: 2024-07-29 09:30:50

From July 27, power outage schedules in Kyiv will be moved forward by one hour. This decision was made to evenly distribute the load on the power system. This was reported by the DTEK company.

"From July 27, according to the instructions of the state company Ukrenergo, the blackout schedules are being changed 1 hour ahead. This applies to all six groups. That is, if you used to have the lights turned off at 9:00 a.m., then from July 27, the blackout will occur at 10:00 a.m.: 00", - noted in DTEK.

The main purpose of changing the schedules is to prevent overloading of the power system during the restoration of electricity supply. This will ensure the stability of energy supply in Kyiv and the region.

The updated schedule of outages will be available starting at midnight on July 27 in the chatbot and on the website of DTEK Kyiv Electric Power Networks. This will allow residents of Kyiv to conveniently follow the changes and plan their affairs according to the new schedules.

It is worth reminding that according to the order of the Cabinet of Ministers, power cuts will not be carried out in settlements located in a 20-kilometer zone from the border with Russia and Belarus, as well as near the front line.

It is expected that the situation in the Ukrainian energy system will gradually begin to improve at the end of July. If there are no new massive attacks on Ukraine's power system, there will be good chances to avoid blackouts in September-October.

Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, the head of the board of NEC "Ukrenergo", emphasized that the situation will not change radically in one day, but significant improvements can be expected at the beginning of autumn. "In August, the situation will be a little better. And in September-October, we even have a good chance of avoiding outages. At least as massive and repeated as we have in July. We need to be patient for some time - and we will see a certain improvement in the situation in the power system," - he declared.

Thus, Kyiv residents can expect a gradual improvement in the electricity supply situation, but must be prepared for temporary inconveniences due to changes in blackout schedules.
