Japan will allocate 4.5 billion dollars to Ukraine: new opportunities for cooperation

Ukraine will receive significant financial support from Japan in the amount of 4.5 billion US dollars during this year. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced this after signing a bilateral security agreement with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

According to the agreement, Japan undertakes to support Ukraine for the next 10 years in the fields of security, defense and humanitarian aid. Special attention will be paid to the implementation of the points of the Peace Formula, as well as to sanctions against the aggressor and his prosecution.

"For Ukraine, this agreement is a big step forward in cooperation with Japan. We appreciate the high level of support and solidarity provided to us by our partner," President Zelenskyi said in his statement.

Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida also emphasized the importance of concluding such an agreement as a decisive moment in relations between the two countries. He confirmed Japan's readiness to continue actively supporting Ukraine in conditions of geopolitical instability.

The agreement pays special attention to supporting the recovery and reconstruction processes on the territory of Ukraine, which are critically important after the war events. Japan's openness to investments in the future stability and development of Ukraine is another evidence of strong diplomatic and economic ties between the countries.

Zelensky also expressed gratitude to Japan for its support and measures aimed at protecting life and international law, which reflects the common mission of both countries in ensuring international security and stability.

This agreement became an important step in strengthening relations between Ukraine and Japan and is noted as an important event in the diplomatic history of the two countries.
