PentoPak plant for sale: FSMU is selling a confiscated asset for the first time

The State Property Fund of Ukraine (FSMU) announces the sale of the important sanctioned enterprise "PentoPak", which was once the property of Russian businessman Ivan Savvidi. The starting price at the auction will be 203.7 million hryvnias.

The head of the Federal State University, Vitaliy Koval, announced this at a press conference.

"PentoPak" is a large enterprise engaged in the production of packaging for the meat processing industry. This plant, which previously belonged to a Russian-Greek oligarch, became the object of confiscation in connection with his support for Russian aggression on the territory of Ukraine.

According to Koval, today "PentoPak" is a successful enterprise with strong prospects on the international market. It cooperates with well-known Ukrainian brands and exports its products to more than 30 countries around the world. In addition, the plant saved 193 jobs and has no debts to employees and the budget.

The buyer of "PentoPak" will have the opportunity not only to continue the successful operation of the plant, but also to expand its potential. The new owner's plans include modernizing production and introducing products into new markets, including packaging for the dairy industry, fish processing and animal feed packaging.

It is important to note that the funds collected from the sale of "PentoPak" will be directed to the needs of Ukraine, in particular to the restoration of territories affected by armed aggression. According to Koval, more than 32 million hryvnias have already been transferred from the sale of other sanctioned assets to the Fund for the Liquidation of the Consequences of Armed Aggression.

The "PentoPak" lot for sale will be published in the "Prozorro.Prodazhi" system on May 6, and the online auction is scheduled for May 31.
