Evacuation of hospitals in Kyiv due to the threat of Russian aggression: steps taken by the city to protect medical facilities

An urgent evacuation of patients from two hospitals in Kyiv, one of which is intended for children, has begun due to the threat of a possible Russian army attack on these medical facilities. This was reported by representatives of the Kyiv City Council.

The decision to evacuate was made in connection with the dissemination of a video on the Internet that threatens an enemy attack on hospitals and claims that there are military personnel in these institutions. The Kyiv authorities claim that this is due to an absolute lie and provocation by which the enemy is trying to harm the social infrastructure of the capital.

In order to protect the lives and health of sick children, their parents and medical staff, the Kyiv authorities are taking all possible measures to urgently evacuate patients and medical staff to other hospitals in the city.

The city authorities asked for help from the Security Service of Ukraine and the Ministry of Health, and informed about the measures taken to preserve the lives and health of patients and hospital staff.

Later, a video was posted online, which triggered the evacuation of the hospitals. The authorities continue to act proactively to ensure the safety and protection of medical facilities under the threat of Russian aggression.
