Chinese President Xi Jinping has emphasized that cooperation between Germany and China is an opportunity, not a risk, even in the context of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz's calls for better market access and a level playing field for German companies.

Scholz's three-day visit to China is part of the European Union's efforts to reduce its strategic dependence on China, especially in the context of questions about possible dumping of subsidized goods by Chinese producers in the EU market.
Xi Jinping noted that China's exports of electric vehicles, lithium batteries, and photovoltaic products have not only helped expand global supply and reduce inflationary pressures, but have also significantly contributed to the fight against climate change and the development of green and low-carbon transformation.
Despite the current trade tensions and questions about equal market access, both leaders expressed their readiness to further cooperate and find common ways to achieve global goals, particularly in the areas of green energy and trade.
